CCATE x HealthSpark Town Hall, Recorded April 29, 2026
On April 29, 2026, Centro de Cultura, Arte, Trabajo, y Educación (CCATE) and HealthSpark Foundation co-hosted a virtual Town Hall to share the newly released CCATE x HealthSpark Community Assembly Report.
The report outlines data gathered through participatory action research that included bilingual surveys and a community assembly co-hosted by CCATE and HealthSpark in December 2025. The assembly convened neighbors, government officials, non-profit leaders, and philanthropy to listen, connect, and think through responses to the challenges facing our immigrant communities.
As Obed Arango Executive Director of CCATE explained, community assemblies ‘foster rings of solidarity and space for protection where community members can practice deep dialogue, deep listening, and deep empathy.’
These intentional gatherings expand our understanding of each other, ground data in the lived experiences of real people, break down the dominant narratives that criminalize and dehumanize immigrants, and activate collective action.
Watch the recording of the Town Hall, where we shared key takeaways, reflected on the priorities that emerged, and explored meaningful next steps we can take together to support our immigrant neighbors and strengthen our community.
