Who We Are

Since 2002, we have been supporting bright and bold ideas for a healthier and more just Montgomery County.

We are a private, independent foundation in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, part of the Greater Philadelphia region.

Our foundation was created in 2002 from the sale of the North Penn Hospital in Lansdale, Pennsylvania. Originally known as the North Penn Community Health Foundation, we became HealthSpark Foundation in 2016 when we expanded to serve all of Montgomery County.

Our mission is to invest in nonprofit organizations, networks, and coalitions. Since our founding, we have made 1,044 grants totaling $18.4 million to 226 organizations.

Apart from grantmaking and investments, our mission is to bridge the gap between individuals and the resources or novel ideas that can catalyze power-building. We put considerable emphasis on our focus areas of community building, research, leadership development, and advocacy.
