Grant funds will enable MADE to build its organizational capacity in four distinct ways: 1) build a stronger, more educated and active Board of Directors; 2) secure a physical location to increase the reach and extent of our programming, thus strengthening our mission to leverage community resources and ultimately, assist the average citizen in pursing economic stability, security and advancement; 3) shift the onerous of financing the programming to a more diversified and sustainable funding model; and 4) invest time and energy into building a collaborative, cross sector network that increases the economic achievement of community members and connects vital economic resources to residents in the southwest corner of Montgomery County to attain and access skills in high priority trade occupations, prepare entry level workers for the trades and build further knowledge in financial literacy that builds financial empowerment and long-term stability. Operational support will allow us to continue to build our internal and organizational capacity so we can focus more resources on providing individuals with the means to better their current situation and stimulate continued future growth of both the individual and the community.
