Foundation appoints new Board members

The North Penn Community Health Foundation Board of Directors is pleased to announce the appointment of two new members:  Kenneth Amey, AICP and George E. Marks, AIA. Mr. Amey and Mr. Marks each will serve a three-year term.

Kenneth Amey, AICP is an independent land planner and Principal of Kenneth Amey Consultants, providing land planning consulting services for municipal and private clients for over 29 years. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Planners, the National Society of Professional Engineers and the American Planning Association. Mr. Amey is also a member of the Montgomery County LandsTrust. He holds a BS in Civil Engineering from Temple University. Mr. Amey lives in Lower Gwynedd, PA.

George E. Marks, AIA is a Managing Partner at Kramer + Marks Architects in Ambler, PA. He is a co-founder of Robin Hood Ventures, a group of angel investors focused on early-stage, high-growth companies in the Greater Philadelphia region. In addition to the foundation, he is a board member for Meadowood Retirement Community in Worcester and serves as chair of the board for Aklero Risk Analytics in Fort Washington, PA. Mr. Marks is also a member of the American Institute of Architects and a managing member for Skrolling Stone Investments. Mr. Marks resides in Worcester, PA.

Founded in 2002, the North Penn Community Health Foundation identifies, selects and invests in programs and agencies that will improve the health, welfare and quality of life in the community.  It seeks to be a catalyst for change, promote lasting value, advocate for low- and moderate-income individuals and families and support innovative, collaborative and cost-effective approaches to solutions addressing unmet community needs.  Since its inception, over $10 million has been distributed to more than 150 nonprofit organizations.
