ACLAMO - Comunidad Unida: Caminos de Esperanza

For over 48 years, ACLAMO has walked alongside Latine families in Montgomery County as they navigate challenges and celebrate joys together.

ACLAMO’s commitment to creating incremental and lasting change through compassionate support, training, and power building has translated into a level of trust that is more familial than communal. With support from HealthSpark’s Justice Fund, ACLAMO created Comunidad Unida: Caminos de Esperanza (United Community: Paths to Hope) to strengthen legal advocacy and mental health referrals, and ensure clients remain informed, supported, and prepared.

In the winter of 2025, HealthSpark sat down with Cindy Castillo, ACLAMO Senior Case Manager, to learn more about how ACLAMO's staff is showing up and standing with community amid the fear and chaos of federal Immigration and Customs Enforcement raids.
