HealthSpark Selected as Outstanding Foundation of the Year

The Greater Philadelphia Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals has selected HealthSpark Foundation as its 2017 Outstanding Foundation of the Year. The foundation is among several award winners who will receive their honors at the Association’s National Philanthropy Day event on November 17, 2017 in Philadelphia.

The foundation was nominated by the Phoenixville Community Health Foundation and the VNA Foundation of Greater North Penn for its leadership in building collaborative partnerships, stimulating growth and creating positive change throughout the region. Since inception, the foundation has awarded $13.4 million in 880 grants to almost 200 organizations. Additionally, the foundation has convened numerous community meetings and offered technical assistance and capacity building to many of the county’s nonprofit service providers working in the areas of health, housing and food security.

Also highlighted were the foundation’s thought leadership and partnerships with its fellow funders, including the PA Health Funders Collaborative, Philanthropy Network Greater Philadelphia and Grantmakers in Health.

The foundation expresses its deepest appreciation to the Association of Fundraising Professionals, Lou Beccaria and the staff of the Phoenixville Community Health Foundation and Joanne Kline of the VNA Foundation of Greater North Penn for this distinguished honor.
