Foundation board member Chinwe Onyekere featured in Good Food, Healthy Hospitals video

The city of Philadelphia Health Department has partnered with around a dozen hospitals to improve nutrition standards and promote local and sustainable food procurement as part of its Good Food, Healthy Hospitals initiative.

This video showcases some of the work and accomplishments of three area hospitals: 

• Episcopal Hospital which is increasing patient satisfaction scores by removing fried foods and introducing a more diverse selection of fresh produce;
• Lankenau Medical Center is incorporating local produce into the primary care setting and cafeteria farm stand to make a direct connection between nutrition and health; and
• Einstein Healthcare Network has adjusted product placement, price and signage to increase healthy beverage consumption.

HealthSpark Foundation board member Chinwe Onyekere, the driving force behind many of Lankenau's efforts, is featured.
