From Chinwe Onyekere With Gratitude

We are deeply appreciative of Chinwe's pioneering work and commitment to HealthSpark Foundation. We are delighted that she will continue in her commitment to social justice and involvement in the Montgomery County community. - Russell Johnson, HealthSpark President and CEO

Dear HealthSpark Community and Partners,

It has been a tremendous honor and pleasure to work alongside you for the past seven and half years, as Board member, Board Chair, and most recently in HealthSpark's inaugural role as the Director of Equity and Inclusion, to create a thriving and just safety net.  Thank you for welcoming me into this new role and providing opportunities to listen and learn from you as HealthSpark aims to center equity and liberation in our approach to grantmaking and partnership.

Our collective commitment to power building and social justice has served as a catalyst in the creation of some dynamic programmatic strategies that include the Dr. Frank E. Boston Black Justice Fund, Voices for Change, Racial Equity Learning Collaborative, Here for Us, and our efforts to align our philanthropic investment strategies with our mission. It has been wonderful to see these programs reflect our objective to strengthen movements for change which build power, transform systems, and achieve racial justice and equity

In the next couple of weeks, I will be making a career change and leaving HealthSpark Foundation. My last day will be September 9, 2022.  I look forward to bringing all of the invaluable lessons learned from this dynamic community into my new role and to remain steadfast in my commitment to racial equity, inclusion, and belonging to create lasting systems change.

Thank you for your partnership.

In solidarity,

Chinwe
