CAN Community Leaders Advocate for Policy Priorities at Legislative Breakfast

On February 5, community leaders from Bucks-Mont Collaborative’s Collaborative Advocacy Network (CAN) gathered in Harrisburg for an impactful Legislative Breakfast, engaging directly with state legislators to advocate for critical issues in our Montgomery County community. The focus of the event was on CAN's policy priorities, particularly the need for increased support for affordable housing and a strong behavioral health care system. Leaders used this opportunity to build and strengthen relationships with legislators, laying the groundwork for long-term advocacy efforts.

The Legislative Breakfast was an important step in fostering meaningful conversations and partnerships that will help drive change in these crucial areas. Looking ahead, HealthSpark Foundation is excited to participate in CAN’s upcoming Day of Advocacy on June 4 in Harrisburg, where we will continue to work alongside CAN members to champion these vital causes. HealthSpark President and CEO Emma Hertz currently serves as Co-Chair of the CAN alongside Shirlee Howe, Manager of Operations for Children First.
