Pottstown Cluster of Religious Communities received an Innovation Lab grant to work with Leadership Tri-County of the TriCounty Area Chamber of Commerce to pilot a community leadership volunteer program that connects consumers and nonprofits in new ways. Twelve consumers of safety net services will receive training via workshops and one-on-one mentoring on leadership and the expertise to volunteer with nonprofits. Upon completion, consumers will have an opportunity to work on a nonprofit project, further connecting and fostering a different type of bond between nonprofits with consumers of safety net services.
