Catholic Social Services received an Innovation Lab grant for People Power, which aims to strengthen the safety net in the Norristown by connecting consumers and nonprofits in new ways. A Collaborative Action Board (CAB) will be formed, comprised of invested consumers and nonprofits leaders from ACLAMO, Catholic Social Services, HopeWorx and the Norristown Hospitality Center. The CAB will meet regularly to identify community and safety net challenges, brainstorm productive solutions and develop plans to implement selected solutions. By fostering formal dialogue between cross sector agencies and client leaders in Norristown, People Power will work to improve the system to deliver more efficient, culturally appropriate services.
