John Ramirez, Jr., Controller

I was thrilled to be considered for this position, and am more so to be here.

John Ramirez, Jr. is a long-term partner, parent and financial plus nonprofit professional. He considers what he does not his second career, but his first vocation.

His background includes broad experiences in public accounting with everything from "mom and pops" organizations up to international companies, from the transactional to the strategic. He then switched gears and went into private industry with a regional company that doubled to over $100 million, where he also dabbled in mergers and international operations.

Then he took an unusual turn and sought to contribute his talents and passions with organizations that served others within their communities. He has worked with Philadelphia communities, including with United Way of Bucks County for nearly a decade. While there, he moved from finance to leading community impact (plus finance). That shift from funder to collaborator was admittedly daunting but even more rewarding.

John has participated extensively in national non-profit programs, keeping abreast of leading-edge developments both at a national and international level.

John has a Master of Arts of International Peace Studies from the United Nations mandated University for Peace. His areas of interest are widely varied, with a common theme of social movements. Long before that, he got his Bachelors of Arts, Accounting from Bloomsburg University.

He continues his membership in the Pennsylvania Institute of CPAs.

Having traveled the country during 2017 by Airstream travel-trailer, John's wife is searching the horizon for a new adventure. Not yet fully recovered, John is letting her do that while he looks forward to the next Eagles' season.
