Inaugural MontCo Emergency Food System Conference

With the MontCo Anti-Hunger Network, NPCHF co-sponsored the first countywide conference for food pantries, soup kitchens, policy advocates, county government, benefit access groups, funders and others involved in the emergency food system. Seventy attended and shared innovative work going on in the county, including at individual pantries. Foundation staff also announced a new capacity building grant opportunity for food pantries.

Seventy attend first MontCo Emergency Food System Conference

On Friday, January 30, the North Penn Community Health Foundation and the MontCo Anti-Hunger Network cohosted the first MontCo Emergency Food System Conference at the Giant in Willow Grove. There were several goals of the conference.

Foundation to Strengthen the Food Safety Net in Montgomery County

Colmar, PA – The North Penn Community Health Foundation recently awarded grants totaling $124,000 to four organizations in Montgomery County in support of its Food Security & Nutrition initiative .
