See below to learn which funds are currently open and accepting applications.

How to Apply

The foundation now makes grants to nonprofit organizations through four targeted funds. Each fund has its own application process. Below is a summary of the funds.

The foundation only accepts applications via its online application system. This system includes all stages of the application and reporting processes.

Please note the foundation does not accept requests for annual support, events or other general solicitation.

Health Opportunities Fund

The goal of the Health Opportunities Fund is to improve access, coordination of service and quality patient outcomes for Montgomery County’s most vulnerable populations.

Currently, the foundation is accepting applications from organizations that work with the dual eligible elderly population in Montgomery County. Three types of grants are being offered:  Readiness, Pilot and Implementation.

Housing Fund

The goal of the Housing Fund is to realize the opportunities outlined in the Your Way Home Montgomery County plan that seeks to use evidence-based tools for decision making, to reduce the cost of services, to increase the supply of affordable homes and to reduce homelessness in Montgomery County. The Housing Fund is an invitation only grantmaking opportunity.

Food Security & Nutrition Fund

The goal of the Food Security & Nutrition Fund is to strengthen the food safety net and reduce hunger in Montgomery County.
