The next meeting of your Pantry Peer Learning Circle is scheduled for Friday, June 15th.

Please RSVP by emailing Tamela Luce (or click on the button below) if you plan to attend so we can have an accurate count and plan accordingly. For this session, we’re tackling a topic you’ve long requested:  Managing Volunteers.

There may not be a single pantry in the county that gets by without the help of a dedicated cadre of volunteers. Yet managing this unpaid workforce can be challenging. How do you recruit, train, mentor and retain good volunteers? What do volunteers need from you in order to be successful? How do you deal with a difficult volunteer? What does your pantry need to do administratively regarding volunteers?

These questions and more will be answered at this session, which will feature:

  • Representatives from organizations with expertise in working with volunteers
  • The release of a Volunteer Toolkit created by Sean Breslin of Philabundance
  • Opportunities to problem solve your challenges in working with volunteers
